First Glance

This Raen carries herself proudly, each movement elegant—but there is a constant hunger in her eyes.

Story

There’s one good thing about disaster striking: everyone suddenly has more important things to worry about.Akasma couldn’t help but smirk as a member of the Radiant Host ran past without sparing her even a glance. Before, he would have stopped and bothered her with all sorts of questions. They were so narrow-minded when it came to her work! That was a constant thorn in her side—too many people refusing to see her brilliance, to understand her genius. Other alchemists treated her products as if they were worthless, lies were spread to hinder her business, and customers demanded their coin back just because there was some small side effect. It was all so frustrating.A mighty roar pierced Akasma’s thoughts, and she looked up just in time to see the dragon fly overhead. How wondrous, their satrap... He would understand her. He would see the value in her work—she just knew it. Yet, as things were, she stood no chance of gaining an audience. Her feet carried her down familiar streets as she pondered how she could prove herself. Spotting a group ahead, bags at their sides, it dawned on her. It was so obvious! A change of scenery would give her customers untainted by rumors and lies, access to new knowledge, and exotic ingredients for inspiration. Best of all, with so many currently fleeing the island to find safety, she could easily blend into the crowd. No one would think to stop her. No one would question it.She would work in another land until the name Akasma became synonymous with Hannish alchemy—with greatness itself—and then return home. She would make those who had doubted her grovel at her feet and beg forgiveness. More importantly, she would ensure that the satrap would desire to meet this returning child of Thavnair.Yes, this could be just what she needed.

Hooks

  • If you are from Radz-at-Han, or have ever visited, you may have seen fliers near the High Crucible of Al-Kimiya warning people not to do business with this woman.

  • The planisphere usually slung across her back marks Akasma as a healer. If you’re in need of one, you might try convincing her to lend a hand.

  • She owns a small shop specializing in alchemical creations and Hannish imports. If you’re looking for such items, she’d gladly make a deal. Just be certain that what you're searching for is worth the cost...

  • Though she primarily stays within Wansui, her work occasionally takes her across Doma and even into Hingashi. While visiting these locales, she's always on the lookout for interesting ingredients and reagents.

OOC

I'd prefer being sent a tell if you are interested in RP with Akasma.I'm 21+ and live on the eastern coast of North America.Typically I am available during the afternoon and evening EST.
If you wish to regularly RP it will make things easier to privately ask for my Discord contact info.
I'm open to most RP but would greatly appreciate a warning if things are going to get graphic.I consider myself a casual player and easily get distracted by side content. So I actually haven't finished the MSQ yet.
